TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP

Please note:

Campers should have with them snacks, lunch (if full day), a refillable water bottle (we provide water), a hat, sunblock, and money. (Popsicles and snacks available for purchase) 

Attire: Campers should wear a leotard or close-fitting clothing, (no skirts or dangling jewelry) Hair should be pulled up out of the face if it is long. An extra set of clothing is also recommended in case of accidents.

CAMP SCHEDULE

8:00 am- (8:30 for St. Davids) Drop Off for before care: Campers arrive and will be provided with quiet activities to start the day. The gym will not be open before 8:00 am at Saltus and 8:30 am at St. Davids.

9:00 am- Warm-up and Stretching: All campers participate in a fun, warm-up game. (There will be 2 groups per room with no more than 10 gymnasts per coach as needed.)

10:00 Gymnastics Basics: the campers will learn the foundational shapes and exercises of gymnastics.

10:30 am Healthy Snack Break: During this period, we ask campers only to have snacks such as vegetables, fruits, cheese, yogurt, nuts, etc. A healthy start to the day will provide the appropriate energy needed for your child to take part in all the sporting activities throughout the day. We hope to encourage an interest in nutrition here at gymnastics, as a healthy diet should prompt a healthy lifestyle.

11:00 am Rotations and Challenges: Campers will split into groups to learn gymnastics skills on Vault, Bars, Tumble Track, after that, all campers will participate in the gymnastics challenge of the day. Consistent effort and challenge winners will be rewarded.

12:00 – 1:00 pm- Lunch

1:00 A quick warm-up will commence and then campers will start up their gymnastics session. The campers will learn the foundational shapes and exercises of gymnastics.

Swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays will begin at 1pm.  Groups will be split. Each group swims for 1 hour each.  Time is given for changing and preparing for dismissal. (Saltus weeks only) non-swimmers will play games and have more gymnastics. Monday and Wednesdays are craft days.  Groups will also be split.  Children do not have to participate in craft time and will continue with gymnastics, games or parkour. 

2:30 pm Afternoon Snack Break: Campers can rest, eat another snack, and have outdoor playtime. (snacks available for purchase after all lunch in lunch pack has been eaten.  Chips are 1:50 and popsicles are $.50)

3:00 pm Supervised free play

3:30 PM Pick up: Campers must be picked up before 5:00 pm for aftercare. A fee of $1.00 per minute will be added for campers picked up after 5:10 PM.  Regular campers must be picked up at 3:30 pm at Saltus and 4:00 pm in St. Davids.  A $15.00 fee for aftercare will be added for non transport campers not picked up at St. Davids after 4:00 pm. (Transport for St. Davids leaves 4:30PM)

Please note that schedules and times are subject to change through the day. Fridays are outing days.  Campers prepare for outings as soon as lunch has concluded.

BGA REFUND POLICIES

Class size is limited and depends on the number of available instructors. We also reserve the right to cancel, mix, or combine classes if we have fewer than 6 registrants or for other operational reasons.

 Please note that dates are subject to change. 

We do not offer makeup classes for weather or illness-related cancellations.

  • Fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, even in cases of session cancellation beyond BGA's control.
  • Refunds are only considered for medical circumstances with a valid doctor's certificate. The refund will be prorated based on the remaining number of classes.
  • All refund requests will incur a $25 administrative fee.
