All Full-time staff are first aid and CPR AND SCARS trained, certified to teach gymnastics by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and screened annually to ensure the leadership that is provided to our BGA membership is nothing but the Best!


Brian Leroux – General Manager/ Head Coach

Brian started coaching gymnastics in the late 1980s in Cape Town, South Africa. He was given the
task of developing the sport of gymnastics nationwide and the program was later accepted into the schools' curriculum. He later started his own club which became very successful and his teams won
a few national titles. Brian moved to the USA in 1995 and worked as a Head Boys' Coach before
starting his own gym in 1999 which he ran for 20 years. His top athlete was recruited by Stanford University and won the NCAA first division national title. In addition to this, he has been judging in t
he USAG JO program; been a national instructor for the USA Gymnastics University and worked at
the International Gymnastics Camp for 17 seasons


Anna Balada - Head Coach assistant

Anna has been coaching gymnastics since 1998, she is from Barcelona and fell in love with the sport when she started as a gymnast at 12 years old. She has always combined her studies with her gymnastics career, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Sports High Performance, both specialized in Women Artistic Gymnastics. Anna has coached gymnasts and teams winning Regional and National Spanish Championships for several years, and she prepared gymnasts from a young age to entering the Olympic Training Center in Barcelona, where she had the chance to coach as well. In 2013 Anna decided to broaden her gymnastics knowledge, and she travelled to International Gymnastics Camp (USA) for 3 summers, there she coached high level gymnasts and got promoted to supervisor and lead coach, while achieving the IGC Professional Coaching Diploma. 
In 2016 Anna moved to Bermuda to take over the role of Head Coach at Quality Gymnastics, she successfully grew the gym, and created a very competitive team that obtanied multiple podiums at national and international level.

 Anna demonstrates the attitude that she expects from her gymnasts, that hard work and consistency are the key ingredients to success.

Pilar Sanchez - Recreational Coordinator/ Senior Coach
Pilar graduated from college with a Bachelor of Physical Education and has worked for more than
20 years as a Physical Education teacher and Rhythmic Gymnast coach in her home country
Colombia. She is a member of the Academia FIG and is a Level III Rhythmic Gymnastics coach.
She has specialized in Rhythmic Gymnastics, taking several courses in Columbia and Spain. Pilar oversaw the regional team whose gymnasts represented Colombia at the South American Championships, Pan-American Games and Central American Games.

Dermot McGrath - Senior Coach
Dermot originated from Ireland and with an educational background in Aerospace engineering.
After this intense occupation, he took a step away to develop his family and found a new passion for coaching. Dermot started volunteer coaching at his daughter’s club in the United Kingdom.
He continued working and developing his passion for gymnastics, which lead him to opportunities
in Asia for the last 14 years. In his last position as Head Coach, Dermot had the pleasure of working
in the largest International School in Malaysia. Now continuing his work here in Bermuda, he looks forward to a new dynamic as the Preschool and After School programCoordinator.
